John Thomas' Thirty-seventh Week

<< Last week's page Next week's page >>

John Thomas is now official crawling. He was getting regularly frustrated while he was figuring it out, but can now crawl from the family room to Mom and Dad in the kitchen. He started off preferring hard surfaces like wood or tile where he could slide his knees along, but by the end of the week he was raising his knees to travel across carpet and blankets.

John Thomas went camping in the Adirondacks on the weekend and had a wonderful time. All his little friends wanted to feed him, and he even got to play with their dinky cars. He went swimming in the lake several times, and loved crawling/rolling around at the beach. He even has his own camping mattress now, and slept on it next to Mommy in the tent.

He loves to feed himself now. He'll eat just about anything from your plate if you give it to him to feed himself. He's eaten chicken, hamburger, cheddar cheese, buns, bread, crackers and a peach this week.

In addition to all this, John Thomas has changed his sleep schedule for the first time in months. For quite a while now he has been consistent with a bedtime between 9:30 and 10pm. And for most of this time 3 naps too. He has now cut out his third nap, and is going to bed between 8 and 8:30pm.
