John Thomas' Twenty-fifth Week

John Thomas has continued eating bananas with gusto. He likes to try to help Mom and Dad guide the spoon into his mouth so he can get them faster. These bananas must have pushed up his growth, because he was busting out of the infant car seat, so we've had to move him to the 3-in-1 car seat. This means no more easy moves in and out of the car while he's asleep. Mom and Dad are going to have to take some time to adjust to this milestone.

He's wearing almost exclusively clothing marked "12 months" now, mostly because of his length. Some of the 12 month pants are too big in the waist, but he sure is long. As for his motor skills, he's really improved his sitting this week. He will still tumble over occasionally, but can sit up on his own for up to 20 minutes. His grasp has been steadily improving over the last couple of weeks. He can bring things towards him (like plates on the table) and has even started to use his thumb in handling items.
